Itty Bitty Beginnings
Never did Lisa imagine that she would give birth to an itty bitty preemie or did she see herself owning a business! Nevertheless, both are true! Lisa's oldest son, Jackson, was born at 30 weeks and 2 days, breaking the scale at a whopping 2 pounds 11 ounces. He required extensive medical care at birth and for the months that followed. Lisa and her husband did EVERYTHING they could think of to help their son have the best possible outcomes! Lisa resigned from teaching to spend every waking moment in the hospital, reading, singing, and learning from nurses. Then after he was discharged from the hospital 3 months later, she sought out every early intervention resource, signed him up for a multitude of classes, attended the library, and consulted a plethora of specialists. During this time, Lisa was very disappointed in the quality and quantity of developmentally appropriate classes and resources in her town available to those not requiring early intervention, so she made her own structured playgroup. This later morphed into the crates available here.
Tinkering Toddler Crates were created when she saw a need from busy parents seeking ideas and materials for their child, but not having the time or desire to track materials down. As a one-stop shop, parents know they can depend on Tinkering Toddler Crates to provide educational, fun, and engaging activities on a monthly basis that include everything you need to do the activities. Parents have ordered crates as a gift for a friend or family member, for play dates with friends, when a new sibling was born, and when their child was sick or injured and couldn't easily go to school or to their regular classes. They also work well for parents seeking to provide their child's babysitter with activities to do.
